I was quite surprised this wasn't already a feature. I spoke to support, and they have told me as such
Basically, the idea is that when you are importing "purchases" from PayPal into your account, you get the option to CREATE a new purchase, but not assign it to an existing one!
I use Receipt Bank to manage all of my invoices (and they push them into KashFlow). What I need is a way to associate the imported purchases to an existing purchase (not create a new one).
We are in dire need of this feature and what I do not understand is why more users are not voting for this feature. Are they not creating purchases orders before they make a payment?
When we order a service or product we send the supplier a PO with the amount we've agreed to. When the invoice from the supplier arrives we pay with Paypal.
Until today matching a Paypal payment to PO's has been a mess so we hope this gets prioritised.
Under Purchases there should be a Select Action:
"Assign payment to existing purchase receipt"
