After having used this program for a couple of months it seams to me that there's a couple of fundermental problems; - the people who input the code simply DONT WANT TO CHANGE ANYTHING for their clients I.E. us !!!
It seems even simple requests are totally ignored - such a shame - I'm glad that my company does not have this approach to listening to client requests !!
The point is we are trying to reduce the number of button clicks when processing a number of invoices/purchases for different customers/suppliers. Please see my comments on the ideas.
This is not a request to duplicate the "Copy" function. This is a request to add a new button to the dialog box which appears following pressing the "Create " button on the page "createReceipt.asp" - the dialog box displays:
Thank you.
The receipt has been successfully added.
IMPORTANT Please write the following code on the top-right corner of your paper copy of this receipt
KF03681
This is the number that has been assigned to this receipt.
{CLOSE}
The request isthat only having a "close" button adds 2 mouse clicks to the process of adding numerous purchase invoices. If this dialog box had an additional button marked "add another new receipt" this would make adding multiple purchase invoices (usually from different providers) a great deal easier.
When you press 'copy', not only does it (obviously) copy everything from the previous purchase, so you have to go back and alter bits, (or basically all of it, with the sorts of multiple purchases I'm inputting) but you also have to choose what you want to create from a drop-down list, which means that you still have to click twice to get to the new purchase input page. I have a feeling that with old Kashflow you just pressed enter to save a purchase, and it went straight to the 'create purchase' page. So much faster.
Yes, this seems like such an obvious thing to have, and you used to be able to do it on the old version of Kashflow (which I miss, and would return to if I could). I don't want to copy the previous purchase, but I also don't want to have to press 'purchases' and then 'create' to go on to a new one each time I've entered a purchase. It has slowed me down considerably.
Genuinely staggered at this situation... such an easy scriptable request to add another button - both commands exist plainly, simply join the insert and new to one click... and here we are 6 months in and nothing other than a cheerful "do it this way! It's not the same but that's all you are going to get!"
Much as I appreciate the efforts in the copy function, it's utterly inappropriate for User request.
This button should be changed to add another purchase invoice, and forget the selection of purchase (set this up so you automatically add a purchase). This would make things one step quicker. You don't need the prior invoices numbers, dates amounts etc. (you don't normally want a copy)
Thanks

The “Copy” button does not answer this idea.

'Copy' is absolutely not the answer.
