Remember selected options/filters for no. of invoices and archived customers

The old KashFlow used to remember things like how many invoices we wanted to see on a screen, and whereas I appreciate the new KF is set for speed, If i choose to see 100 invoices on a screen then I think it should stay like that until I change it.

Same for the new customer archive function - its pointless if every time I go back to the customers screen it shows them all including the archived ones.

Please put some "memory" in place to remember our selections until we change them.

    Admin response

Hi Olly, I have spoken with our development team and KashFlow will currently remember all preferences within a live session. Please adjust your internet settings if this is not the case. We will not be building a memory function into the application at this time unfortunately as this is not currently a part of the app's design and would require a lot of additional development, but thank you very much for your suggestion.

Agreed this needs to be added, As of a few days ago this no longer works in the old kashflow. MAJOR Step backwards!!

It would be so much quicker if i didnt have to select unpaid invoices and unpaid receipts and reorder my quotes every time i logged in..

The speed of delivering the all items to screen may be higher than delivering filtered sets(50, unpaid etc) but surely for the user is a lot slower yo have to re-select these options on a repeated basis - and that's ignoring the frustration of having to do so.

I was told by someone internally that this is because the "new kashflow is built for speed and showing 100 invoices on a page all the time goes against that"

Well what about the fact every time I log in i see all invoices, paid, unpaid, overdue rather than just the u paid ones? Why does this one reset each time?

That isn't for speed as loading ALL invoices would be slower than just doing a query to display the unpaid ones or whatever the last chosen option was?

I think Kashflow need to start listening to more user input, and making rapid changes to their system as there are a lot more cloud accounting packages available now and you'll start losing people if they feel ignored!!

    Hi Olly,

Within a single session it will always remember the filters that you have set. If you do log out of the system, in this case it will then reset to the default view. The setup required to memorise filters for future sessions is not currently part of the API.

We do try to be as reactive as possible to our user requests, hence setting up the user community to capture as much feedback as we can. The top requests are automatically made a priority and we constantly monitor all new requests to capture those that can be quickly implemented into the app.

Unfortunately, due to the volume of requests that we get we cannot make changes straight away in most cases. Please be assured that we do listen to user input as much as possible, it really is key for us.

    Thanks,

    Tom

Cookie or other method to store how many items per page is shown as default. At the moment you have to manually choose 100 EVERY time you log in. 200 and 500 would be good as options too as quite often i need to search the page using the browser search. It is quicker than using the search built in.

Whenever I want to view invoices, purchase invoices, lists of customers etc, it always starts with 10 items and I always change to 100 ... could you not give the user that future in display settings so that the screen can be customised?
