    Admin Response

We are well aware of the need for such functionality within KashFlow and are working towards this end in our development cycle. Multi Currency is a big job and involves a ground up re-structuring of KashFlow to incorporate the functionality throughout the app. We are working hard to design the best solution for this and hope to have news on Multi Currency in 2016. Thank you for your patience with this clearly very popular request. KashFlow Product Team

Currently on a 30 day trial and just discovered no multi currency bank support. We buy everything in USD and sell significant volumes in USD and EUR so this could be a deal breaker. Please can you post an update to this and the other messages so we can understand how far away this functionality is..

Adding my vote to this one. Lack of multi-currency is a massive deficiency.

Any update on this? I am about to open accounts in currencies other than GBP (EUR, USD, and BTC) so as to avoid the constant non-Sterling transaction fees my bank levies. I've used Kashflow for 5 years, but this may genuinely be a dealbreaker if it can't handle me having accounts in multiple currencies.

How is this still not implemented after so long? Your competitors have it and it seems like such a basic option not to have. Sage One here I come.

We are looking at using an alternative after 3 years of loving Kashflow - unfortunate they haven't provided any update on this at all in 2016

We are using Ethereum and Factom tokens for our business, but there is no place to account for them in Kashflow. Multi Currency Bank Accounts would solve this problem. Any update on this? We need to find a solution by end of the tax year.

Any update on this? As I am now trading in different countries this is a must for my business! I would like the ability to have bank accounts in multiple currencies and then transfer between my accounts with an exchange rate that I set per transfer.

I can invoice in a choice of currencies but the statements always revert to GBP which is frustrating. With the current fluctuating exchange rate I have to alter this every day to get a true price..

I find it incredible that this has not been resolved. Half way through 2016 and still no further update. How can you expect your users to recommend a product that does not handle the needs of businesses that work in more than one currency and more importantly is so slow to respond to customers needs.

Well, after discovering this problem within our account and now finding that this has actually been noted and commented on for the past few years(!), I can see that there is no hope for any quick action on this! Looks like it's time to find an alternative solution and stop using Kashflow - this is not the only issue we have had with Kashflow - you guys are unacceptably slow in sorting issues out...

Must have feature for my businesses. The simplicity of Kashflow is a huge plus, but without this feature I may have to look at alternatives. Willing to pay an additional premium for full multi-currency support, so please do get coding guys! Thanks

I signed up to Kashflow with the promise that it was very close to having multi-currency, that was 2 years ago. what are you doing to help clients that trade with SEPA / EEA... Not a lot, time to change to Xero I think !

Unti this is implemented, can you give all users a free subscription for each alternative currency they use?

I truly need a multicurrency bank option for my bookkeeping so most of my clients are abroad and I need to invoice to them in other currencies. Xero, Zoho books, have the option and similar prices to KashFlow so... there is a pressure.

Hi, I am very frustrated that there is still no movement on this feature or even the promise of a date. With world trade the norm, even a small business needs multi currency. In a previous life I ran a team of 50+ developers and consultants in ERP software and enabling multi-currency ain't that challenging if you design it right.

We are new to Kashflow from SAGE and the issue with not being able to handle multi currency bank accounts is a problem. I have been told that they are working on it but looking at the comment below about raising the issue in 2010 does not give me confidence that it will be resolved any time soon. I would have hoped that being a multi currency platform would have been more of a priority. We as a business are trying to increase trade for the UK with other EU and International countries and having banking issues does not give confidence to our suppliers and customers.

Hi, Is there any update on this? Knowing you've been aware of this since I mentioned it first back in 2010 it would be great if it could finally be given some consideration. Given the number of votes here it seems to be requested by more users than myself. I understand it's not a priority but five years is also a very long time. We invoice in GBP, USD, EUR. It's today impossible to generate statements in anything but GDP. Will take a look at Xero as well, thanks for the recommendation.

    My current problem:

Main currency of operation = Euros
Most purchasing made in Hungary in Forints.

It would be great to have a petty cash account in Forint

Solution, enable me to have more than one account in another currency.

    Hi Phil,

Sorry to hear that. We are currently prioritising work in other areas of the app at the moment, unfortunately there is no progress to report on multi-currency but we are aware of the need for such functionality.

    Kind regards

Some of our clients are experiencing difficulties with the absence of multi currency bank accounts. As a result we have had to direct some of them onto Xero. It is a great shame to have to do this but.....

    Hi Ben,

You can currently manage Euro payments within KashFlow, what we cannot currently offer are multiple currencies within the same KashFlow account. If you do trade in Euros you can use this currency if you wish.

    Thanks,

    Tom

Can anyone suggest an interim solution to managing Euro payments until Multi Currency is fully functional?

Do you know when this will be implemented? It would be hugely beneficial to have multiple currency bank accounts that can be linked together with payment transfers back to GBP etc.

Just to add a further vote for this functionality. Like many others this is a very important feature for modern businesses. Having the ability to have additional bank accounts in another additional currency is at the top of our list right now. Would happily pay more for this feature...

I dont think this will ever happen and will be switching to Xero or QB in next 6 weeks.

ive been fobbed off every time i ask on the basis that its a big job. Big but vital and i first raised it 2 years ago.

We're getting desperate for this now. The admin response says that you hope to have news in 2016. It's now nearly half way through 2017.

Please, at the very least, keep updates coming. This idea looks dead and that nothing is happening - which I'm starting to believe is the case.

  • Chris Kennett commented

    @Mark Allan
I'd say it's beyond looking dead now... There are a number of suggestions on here that I created some 3-4 years ago on the old Kashflow User Voice system, that was replaced by Canvass. This is one example of my suggestion, directly copied over to Canvass, but obviously I lose credit for it as it simply assigned to 'Kashflow Product Manager'.

I wouldn't hold your breath on this, or multi user access, or multiple customer contacts... all my suggestions, all still pending 4 years later.

We are actively looking at alternatives to Kashflow now.
