I regularly prepare quotes with a number of items listed for different elements of work I will be doing on a project.
Many of my projects last many months and are therefore invoiced monthly. I currently convert the relevant quote to an invoice and then only include the relevant items from the quote undertaken that month on the invoice and in some instances, only a percentage of a particular item is invoiced.
It would be really helpful to be able to monitor against the original quote (that has been won and is therefore an active project) the amount outstanding against each item listed. Currently I have to keep a separate spreadsheet to monitor each project which is a shame as Kashflow does everything else so well!
I previously posted a similar idea however this was interpreted as relating to partial payments against invoices, which has been implemented by Kashflow, where as what I really need is to record partial payment against a quote which will be invoiced monthly over a several months and only for certain items within the quote.
