Our company only trades in the UK so uses only one VAT rate. Having this feature on every invoice line is therefore irrelevant for our purposes. However, we do discount products at various rates so require an easy and visible portrayal of discounts on a line by line basis. We would therefore prefer if the program had a selector button in the settings menu to select either VAT or discount on each invoice line. Selecting discount would then replace the line VAT component with a discount component and then show the net total after discount and exclusive of VAT. We could then apply discounts on the fly to each product line and the VAT would then be computed at the end on the final total.
