Rapidfire Batch Invoice

Rapidfire Batch Invoice
Having moved from Quickbooks to Kashflow the Rapidfire Customer Code field can't find my customers by name although this is possible in Kashflow itself. When entering an invoice for an existing (Quickbooks) customer I need to use the dropdown and scroll method to find them.

The situation with Nominal code has a similar problem in that it will only accept a numerical entry while Product Codes in Kashflow can be alphanumeric. I only have a limited number of products so it has been possible to change their codes to numeric only but this would not be practical with a larger number of products

Is it possible to make Kashflow and Rapidfire work with matching logic?

Rapidfire just needs to emulate Sage's Batch Invoice screen - simples.

In batch invoice mode using numerical product codes does allow one to automatically fill the product details as required for the invoice but the sale is only recorded against the overall sales code, not the product code.

In view of the above and the difficulty in finding existing customers I thought I would try again with Rapidfire single invoices where it can find my customers in the usual Kashflow manner.

In this mode, while all product codes show in the dropdown only the lowest numbered item will be chosen. i.e. if I have codes 201, 202, 203 etc. in a sales category the item will always revert to 201 and fill the details for that product.

As single and batch invoices both have it half right (Customer search in single mode and product fill - almost - in batch mode) it would appear to be not too much trouble to really make this product work
