Preventing Customer Duplication

It would be great if we can be stopped from creating a new customer record by trying to use the same mobile number or e-mail address that already exists on another customer record...

...by giving us an easy option, asking whether we would like to continue creating a new record or use the existing one.

This would be ideal for us and would prevent staff duplicating customer records.
