Kashflow Payroll - Intergration to Kashflow Accounts Improvement

In Kashflow Payroll you can set staff up to differing departments,
which is ideal, however the automated data integration into KAshflow Accounts only allows for a single accounts code for the total of the payroll and ignores the Departmental analysis.

Please allow additional coding for the P&L aspect per Payroll department so that manual reworking of the "integrated solution" is not needed, as there is no point to the upload if you have differing departments, since a manual journal is still required.

thanks

This would be really helpful in reducing the time to produce a set of year end annual accounts. Please can you act upon the suggestion.

Regardless of departments, we are obliged statutorily to show direct wages, indirect wages and directors remuneration so have to amend the integration journal, so it is as easy to manually populate a saved journal template.

On that note, the payroll reports are dire and fragmented. We also use Earnie and that produces a month end summary perfect for reporting, and we have the ability to write our own reports which I have done for pension data.

It cannot be that difficult to have a field for each employee/department to put the N/L code they go to, which can then be picked up in the automatic journal, or

Agreed, Sage had a nominal code for Directors pay I/o staff and I'm told our accountants need this info, so the option to default their pay to another nominal code would be useful, same applies to pension contributions needing their own nominal code defaults.

Fully agree - having to manually move my direct salaries, ER NI and pensions to a cost of sale bucket really lets this functionality down.

This is exactly what we are looking for too. Not having this feature severely restricts what analysis we can do on different business streams without some clumsy manual manipulation. I'm not sure what the point of the department function is in Kashflow Payroll, I haven't found any functionality!

Please can someone from Kashflow comment on whether this can be added? It's the single biggest reason for us to look at other options.

I think this too. Even if it was to split directors and staff. Some are Cost of Sales, some admin. It seems crazy that it'll post the journal but still have to manually split them after.
