Updating a product price list using CSV imports

Currently we cannot update or delete a product import CSV file. I have a client who uses the software who wants to be able to update the CSV product import on a monthly basis to update the system with new prices or new products.
If you try and import an updated price list it says the products already exist so there is no way to update the data.
In addition, I understand it is not possible to delete an import following a query from the support team. Both ideas would increase the stock management capability of Kashflow.

Hi Rachael, Thanks for your feedback. We have lots of requests for an upgrade to our stock management system, however we are limited to what we can do here. The issue of a mass update via CSV causes a lot of issues with duplication and end of year reporting and as such as we have not made this a feature within the app. If this request does get a number of votes we can certainly look into this further, but i'm afraid this isn't on the roadmap at the moment.

    Hi,

I've just created an account here to ask for the same feature. I notice that the SOAP interface does allow for products to be updated, so was going to write my own upload tool for handing price updates.

I'm now puzzled as to why this causes issues with duplication and end of year reporting, please can you elaborate - product prices will change throughout the year.

    Regards,

    Paul
