Show Stock on Balance Sheet

My P&L isn't always accurate because sometimes I've bought stock for later re-sale, thus my purchases are high without reflecting that stock levels have increased. My accountant also moans about the trial balance/balance sheet not showing stock!

    Hi Max, Can I ask why you would need to show stock on the balance sheet etc? Are you wanting to show value of stock or the actual amount? We currently have a stock management system that does accommodate tracking of values etc but this would not normally show on the balance sheet. Thanks

    Surely stock in hand should be part of any business''s balance sheet - my balance sheet currently shows a negative balance, because it is ignoring the £20,000 or so I have as stock in hand!

    I think that by having the option of stock, you can set reserve amounts. This will be able to show to you that when you reach this reserve, the figure could possibly turn into a red colour. The whole point is that you can visualise at a glance what needs to be order. Kashflow is for small and self employed people who generally don't have time. So this can be only good for someone like me

    Also, I work from home and only go to the warehouse To collect things. Wouldn't it be nice to know automatically what I have in stock?

    Hi Lito,

    The problem is that we do not aim to provide a stock management system within KashFlow to handle such functionality as you require that would for instance allow you to track warehouse stock.

    We have some great applications that we integrate with to help you achieve this but unfortunately I dont think this will appear on our product roadmap at the moment.
