Each line item in purchase invoices, sales invoices, transactions should be able to have one or more custom (user-defined) tags. This would be in addition to the accounting category that is currently used.
The tags (metadata) could then be used for flexible reporting either within Kashflow web app or, if data exports are available, for custom reporting.
This would be super useful for management reporting and any other non-standard reports. For example, every year I am asked to break down my sales by geography or volume or kind etc and the accounting categories (or having only one category) are not even close to being sufficient. Flexible tags would solve this very easily and should be relatively easy to implement too, especially if you offer data export and don't develop reporting which may be more complicated.
