There should be an alert or notification on the dashboard showing when the next VAT submission is due or an email alert when the submission date is close. HMRC stopped sending email alerts once they launched Making Tax Digital leaving this to the software provider. Without going into the Tax tab it isn't possible to see when the next VAT return is due. I'm sure I'm not the only person who needs a gentle reminder!

100% supporting this suggestion. Strangely enough, the system does send out a reminder of overdue VAT payment, but that's clearly too late.
There should be a setting to enable an automatic earlier reminder that the current VAT period has closed and needs submitting.
One could possibly even choose when the reminder should occur, or you could just set it say after 2 weeks from VAT period end.
The alternative is to set an event in an Outlook calendar but this should really be Kashflow's job.
