There is an issue with the PayPal import (well several really which are extremely annoying).
However, this one cropped up yesterday when I imported some PayPal transactions including a payment to a third party in euros.
I paid (say) £10 converted via PayPal to euros (say) €11.30
That payment included a paypal conversion fee
When I imported the payment, the amount paid shown in the import was £9.85 (say) - ie it did not import what I guess was the conversion fee.
In my PayPal history I only see a conversion of £10 to euros, so cannot be sure but the import should pick up the correct amount!
This is a symptom of a deeper problem. Kashflow cannot handle PayPal transactions in anything other than base currency. If your base currency is GBP and you have an occasional invoice in USD or EUR, as we do, and receive payment in PayPal in USD rather than GBP, the figures on our separate PayPal USD account in KashFlow are in GBP. The account cannot be reconciled. The PayPal charges in USD on the PayPal account go to the PayPal GBP account in KashFlow and have to be manually reversed. KashFlow needs to properly implement multi-currency PayPal.
