Moving transactions up or down in bank accounts

At times during a single day several events affecting the same bank account may happen, for instance sales invoices, purchases and bank transfers (such as withdrawals from Paypal to corporate account).

Very often I have noticed that the transaction entries in the account do not follow the same order that appears in the Paypal statement (although I guess this applies to just any bank account).

This causes a temporary negative balance (for instance if a withdrawal is logged before some other transactions that in reality took place BEFORE the transfer itself) that is confusing and annoying when having to tally figures.

As I cannot enter the time of the transaction to force the transaction to go up or down where it really should be, I propose the ability to shift the transaction up or down, perhaps restricted to a very short time span (like maximum 2-3 days).

It would be very useful to ensure that the transactions logged in KF are always a perfect mirror image of the statement itself.

Thank you.

Kind Regards,

Fabio Gangarossa, Computer Studio Ltd.

I'm in total agreement with this.

When reconciling statements, it would be super handy to move transactions up and down - it would speed up the process of working out where the error had slipped in.
