On the old interface design, when you looked at any period of time in your banking, there was a column total for both in and out, next to the opening / closing balances. This has mysteriously been dropped in the new interface, which seems like a big oversight. Speaking for myself, I rely on running totals of ins and outs when reconciling my banking and cashflow forecast documents every month, and it was really easy to cross reference at a glance.
