Stock Level/Value as of certain date

It would be great to be able to produce a stock report which details stock + value as of a certain date.

i.e Items in stock as of the 31st March etc

      Me 3 !  Stock Value is quite normal on a Balance Sheet and would be great if the value could be entered on here too.  thanks
