Hi Dwayne,
We use Dropbox due to the flexibility of the system and the ability to share files among a number of systems, not just KashFlow. We have therefore chosen not to hold files within the system itself to make collaboration between clients and customers a little easier.
We found that due to Dropbox being a free system, our customers enjoyed having this additional flexibility rather than having to download documents manually to be shared.
Many thanks
This is rather shortsighted as more and more organisations across the globe adopt Office 365, plus with the majority of these accounts – they get 1TB of OneDrive storage space to use as part of the package. I know that a number of our people have closed their Dropbox accounts and moved over to OneDrive to reduce their overheads – and subject to a couple of points they do the same sort of thing.
Customers should be able to choose which 'system' they use from at least a few options with Dropbox, OneDrive and Google Drive being the obvious first 3.
I understand that using an external system has its advantages - but be clear here, having these items inside of your own proprietary system makes absolute sense... should the client wish.
