Show VAT inclusive amount on sold item on printed invoices (per line).
Before printing you can see item price, vat amount and total inclusive of VAT but when you print it for a customer they only see the ex VAT amount for each item. This is not good when using the invoices as sales invoices in a retail envronment.
We deal with multiple VAT rates so just showing the total VAT at the bottom of the invoice or quote is horribly confusing. We would like an option to have it displayed the same as on the screen: Rate, VAT Rate, VAT, Total (inclusive) with the summaries below.
Agree with comments below. It becomes confusing when we reconcile with receipts that sometimes does not show the VAT element and hence we need to easily see the total inc value for each item, but this is not shown in the printed invoices/purchase orders.
Same problem with quotes. If you want to show your customers 3 different prices for a job you need to give them 3 quotes. If you try and add the three on one quote the total cost of each option is not shown, you have to add the vat and net amount together. If the gross amount was shown on each line of the quote, you could show the three options on a single quote.
Hi Mike
Please change this soon as my client's are very confused and cant work out how much individual items cost!!!
Would be ideal if on the quotes, you had the option to show a VAT inclusive line instead of the Net. VAT & Gross
I totally agree with these comments, I actually use Kasfhlow as non VAT registered to overcome this - but it is so frustrating as I have to still manually do my VAT every quarter.
I would like to see this option available for invoices and quotes.
