I send out invoices to customers in the USA. Currently invoices are are generated and the date format used is 8/10/2026. In the UK we read that as 8th October 2026. In the USA they read that as 10th August 2026. This causes confusion about when invoices are due. I would like to suggest that you add a date option that presents dates on invoices as 8th October 2026 format.
Thanks for raising this.
I can see how the current date format can create confusion when invoices are sent internationally. We've noted the suggestion and will keep in mind for future development.
There are a few different ways we could approach solving this problem, each with its own advantages and trade-offs. Would you be interested in exploring some alternative solutions with you to better understand which approach would work best in practice?
A longer date format (for example, "8 October 2026") would remove that ambiguity and would simple to add. However, we'd need to review, test and potentially update all areas where customer-facing dates are displayed.
Kind regards
